I was commissioned by the Cultural Engagement Lab, a non-profit organization, as a part of the Thread of Change Cultural Engagement Lab. This electoral campaign unites movement groups, organizers, artists, writers, and influencers from diverse backgrounds to create art and movements that weave a rich tapestry of stories fostering dialogue and supporting election mobilization.
I had the opportunity to create a video from my series Land of Blood and Dirt that speaks to the response to the climate injustices faced by rural Black farming communities in Georgia and all over the South.
