Sheila Pree Bright is a fine art photographer based in Atlanta. Her large-scale, provocative work combines a wide-ranging knowledge of contemporary culture with an emphasis on challenging perceptions of identity.
Her work has been featured in a number of solo and group exhibitions including shows at the Smithsonian Anacostia Museum in Washington, D.C., the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, and the Leica Gallery in New York, as well as the touring exhibitions Saturday Night/Sunday Morning, Reflections In Black: A History of Black Photographers 1840 to the Present and Locating the Spirit: Religion and Spirituality in African American Art.
Her work is included in both public and private collections throughout the United States, including Clark Atlanta University Galleries, the de Saisset Museum at Santa Clara University, The Paul Jones Collection, and the Sprint Nextel Art Collection. Continued >> |
